Environmental Matters
Matt regularly represents both real property and vessel owners/charterers/receivers in environmental disputes brought under state and federal law, including the Oil Pollution Act of 1990, Clean Water Act, and CERCLA, as well as state equivalents and the common law.
In that capacity, he has represented responsible parties, and third parties seeking contribution, in federal and state court proceedings, and has participated in arbitral proceedings and negotiations with state and federal regulators and insurers regarding such claims.
Matt also provides compliance advice regarding environmental coverage and claims.
